The Bahia Palace
Cultural city tours
Located north of the Jewish quarter "The Mellah", the Bahia Palace is one of the masterpieces of Moroccan architecture. Built by intervals from 1859 to 1873 and then finalized in 1900, the palace lays on 8 acres and has 150 motley rooms set up around patios and gardens. The two periods of construction were initiated by two different men, Si Moussa and then his son Ahmed Ben Moussa, both viziers of their respective sultans.
